Rising wedge
A rising wedge is two upward-sloping lines that converge; the buying loses momentum and a break below the lower line is usually bearish.

How the rising wedge works
Price makes higher highs and higher lows, but each push higher gains less ground. The narrowing range shows buyers tiring.
It can mark the end of an uptrend or a pause within a downtrend.

- The wedge's widest height, projected down from the breakout.

- A close back above the lower line or above the wedge's last high.
